Shipping, returns & care
Everything we can tell you about how a set gets to you, what happens if something is wrong with it, and how to make it last. Where we have not settled a term yet, we say so rather than make one up.
Shipping
How long a set takes to reach you, and where we can send one.
Every set is painted by hand, so an order moves at the speed of a person rather than a warehouse. Ready-made sets from the collection are quicker than a custom commission, because the painting is already done.
We email you when your order ships. If a delivery is running strange, reply to that email — it comes straight back to the studio.
- Ready-made sets
- Ship in 1–3 business days.
- Custom sets
- Ship within 5–7 days: a digital mockup within 24 hours of your brief, then 2–3 days of painting once you approve it.
- Shipping updates
- We email you again when your order ships.
- Where we ship
- Checkout accepts delivery addresses in the US, Canada, the UK and Australia.
- Shipping cost
- Checkout adds no separate shipping charge — you pay the price shown on the set.
- Carrier and transit time
- The times above are how long it takes us to get your set out of the studio. How long it then spends in transit depends on the carrier and where you are.
Returns & exchanges
What to do when a set arrives damaged, wrong, or simply not right.
We are a small studio, not a returns department, and we would much rather hear about a problem than have you quietly stop wearing a set. If something is wrong, tell us — with a photo if you have one — and we will work it out with you.
The fastest route is always email: studioashkini@gmail.com, with your order number in the subject line.
- Returns window
- We have not published a fixed window. Get in touch as soon as you notice a problem and we will sort it out with you.
- Custom sets
- A custom set is painted to your brief and your measurements, so we try to catch problems before the paint goes down: you approve a digital mockup first, and you get one free revision round on it.
- Damaged or incorrect order
- Email studioashkini@gmail.com with your order number and a photo of what arrived, and we will make it right.
- Changing or cancelling an order
- Email us as soon as you can. If your set has not been painted or packed yet, we will tell you where it is in the queue and what we can still change.
- Once a refund is issued
- Depending on your bank, it can take 5–10 business days to appear on your statement.
Care & wear
Getting the most wears out of a set you paid a person to paint.
A press-on set is not disposable. Taken off gently and stored flat, the same set comes back out of the box for a second and third outing — which is most of why a hand-painted set is worth what it costs.
Never pull a set off dry. Let the removal oil do the work, give it a minute, and the tips lift away without taking anything of your own with them.
- How long a set lasts
- 2–4 weeks per wear with the gel glue.
- How many times you can re-wear a set
- Your set is reusable. How many wears you get out of it depends on how gently you take it off and how you store it in between.
- Removal
- Removal oil is included in every box.
- What the sets are made of
- Salon-grade gel, premium adhesive tabs and hand-selected embellishments. Custom orders include a full application kit.
- Your natural nails
- Press-ons are gentle on natural nails.
- Allergies and sensitivities
- If you react to nail adhesives or acrylates, email studioashkini@gmail.com before you order and we will tell you exactly what is in the kit.
Something not covered here?
Ask. There is no ticketing system and no script — an email lands with the person who painted your set, and an honest answer is faster than a policy page that guesses.
